Our team sits at the heart of supply chain and we are responsible for the movement of inventory across thousands of nodes ( DC’s, FC’s, and Stores). If you want impact? The systems you get to help design and lead are responsible for more than 500M inventory decision. This decisions help ensure we have product when and where are customers want them. You want a challenge? Whether you’re in to large scale data problems, algo’s, BE, FE, etc.. we are working with all the latest technologies including Java / Spring, React/Redux, Spark, Kafka, etc. all deployed in either a private or public cloud environment utilizing docker/kubernetes.

What you’ll do
Manage software development engineers; mentor them through their career growth
Lead end-to-end Engineering projects, be responsible for the outcomes of the project, how it’s delivered, and the quality of delivery.
Build an open, transparent, honest, positive, and energized culture.
Improve, optimize, and identify opportunities for improved software development life cycle.
Engage and drive technical architecture, design and discussions.
Drive our technical roadmap and direction of our stack.
Ensure the happiness and productivity of the team's software engineers
Collaborate with Cross functional teams, Product, UX and Technical Support teams
Utilize professional acumen to improve WalmartLabs technology, product, and Engineering

Minimum Qualifications

2 years supervisory experience.

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science and 5 years experience in software engineering or related field OR 7 years experience in software engineering or related field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Highly technical hands-on and an effective people leader
Organize and facilitate regular 1:1's with your team for coaching and mentoring
2+ years in driving and retaining a high performance team
7+ years building and maintaining highly scalable, high performance, back-end systems
Experience building, adopting and maintaining RESTful API’s
Experience with API’s, micro-services, and event based systems
Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
Familiarity with Automation Tools
Strong customer focus and obsession with quality

Knowledge of supply chain systems with emphasis on Inventory and Replenishment

Experience in Azure cloud architecture and deployments

Experience with containers
