  • Develops Innovation strategies, processes, and best practices
  • Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects
  • Ensures business needs are being met
  • Leads and participates in medium- to large-scale, complex, cross-functional projects
  • Leads the discovery phase of medium to large projects to come up with high level design
  • Leads the work of other small groups of six to ten engineers, including offshore associates, for assigned Engineering projects
  • Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
  • Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates
  • Supports business objectives
  • Troubleshoots business and production issues
  • Utilizes industry research to improve Wal-Mart's technology environment

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1 year of supervisory experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 4 years of experience in software engineering or related field OR 6 years of experience in software engineering or related field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

• Software Development or Architectural Experience
• Product Management Experience a nice to have
• Experience in Java development at an enterprise
• Direct People Management not required, but would
be nice
o Should have experience in some leadership
capacity with engineers
• Role will include Leading a team of 10-12 engineers
to build product features for Walmart’s Supply Chain
• Passionate about technology and working with
engineers to build and deploy solutions for Walmart
Supply Chain
• Strong Leadership competencies
• Follow a DevOps Culture; candidate should possess
understanding of DevOps and have a ownership
• Skilled Proponent of Continuous Integration and
Continuous Delivery including experience in
supporting testing strategies
