This position will be on the Walmart Labs Supply Chain team, focused on building Walmart's best in class Warehouse Management System

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 4 years of experience in software engineering or related field OR 6 years of experience in software engineering or related field.

Additional Preferred Qualifications

Ideally you will have…
• Excellent skills and ability to decompose a business problem into simple and extensible software solutions
• 8 years of development experience in Java technologies
• Hands on experience building, running and deploying application to cloud environments such as Azure and GCP
• Hands on experience with ORM and dependency injection frameworks, WebServices, Micro Service architecture
• Excellent understanding of designing and building scalable, high-availability, distributed (multi-tiered), and concurrent applications
• Expertise with relational databases like SQL Server, MySQL; excellent understanding of transaction management and performance tuning
• Experience with distributed databases like Cassandra, MongoDB,; excellent understanding of NoSQL database, CAP theorem and eventual consistency
• Experience using messaging systems like Kafka, ActiveMQ; solid understanding of enterprise service patterns
• A deep understanding and emphasis on testing and testing types/methodologies (TDD, BDD, contract testing etc.)
• Ability to learn and adapt new technologies, passion for continuous improvement
• A passion to mentor and guide team members
• Exposure to continuous build and continuous integration tools
• Master's degree in Computer Science or related field and 3 years of experience in software engineering or related field.
