Position Summary...

Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning. Provides supervision and development opportunities for associates by selecting and training; mentoring; assigning duties; building a team-based work environment; establishing performance expectations and conducting regular performance evaluations; providing recognition and rewards; coaching for success and improvement; and ensuring diversity awareness. Promotes and supports company policies, procedures, mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity by training and providing direction to others in their use and application; ensuring compliance with them; and utilizing and supporting the Open Door Policy. Ensures business needs are being met by evaluating the ongoing effectiveness of current plans, programs, and initiatives; consulting with business partners, managers, co-workers, or other key stakeholders; soliciting, evaluating, and applying suggestions for improving efficiency and cost-effectiveness; and participating in and supporting community outreach events.

What you'll do...

Demonstrates up-to-date expertise in information technology systems and applications and applies this to the development, execution, and improvement of action plans by providing expert advice and guidance to others in the application of information and best practices; supporting and aligning efforts to meet Customer and business needs; and building commitment for perspectives and rationales.

Leads technology business solutions for the Information Systems Division by designing transitional roadmaps for the future or clarifying existing architectures at the domain level; creating and designing systems implementation roadmaps for the company; designing cross-area integration architecture for current and future processes; ensuring architecture design aligns with business goals; and determining budget impact of solutions based on total cost of ownership analyses.

Oversees the strategic alignment between program-level design and enterprise-level design by mapping between architectural documentation and program- or project-level documentation; mapping between program- or project-level documentation and enterprise level documentation; calculating priority, risk, and mix of projects within a program to ensure maximum business return; ensuring design solutions meet service requirements; and recommending third-party vendors that can fulfill project requirements.

Ensures architectural designs support strategic goals by contributing to the development of enterprise objectives; ensuring domain-wide proposals are consistent with long-term strategies; leading strategy planning efforts for the area; presenting the architectural vision to management and information technology teams; and governing the architectural vision.

Oversees the development of conceptual, logical, or physical designs at the program level by ensuring integration of multiple processes (business, application, technology, information); and collaborating with others (for example, peers, colleagues) to conduct research and set or adopt industry standards.

Promotes the development of the business and technological skills of information technology Associates by conducting mentoring and training sessions; conducting presentations on global business strategies and architectural concepts, techniques, and designs; and ensuring Architects attend strategic planning sessions.

Maintains industry expertise by communicating with third-party architects; participating in continuing education and training to increase knowledge of industry changes and developments; communicating new technology developments to Associates; and demonstrating an awareness of the impact of technology on business goals.

The ideal candidate would have 5 or more years experience applying Business and Technology Architectural principals to practical situations inside a Fortune 500 sized company.  Candidate must demonstrate a knowledge of best practice regarding IT Governance, Risk Management, and Industry Compliance.

Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 7 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 15 years OR 9 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 15 years OR Master's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related field and 5 years experience in information technology or related field within the past 15 years.
