The Senior Technology Analyst position is responsible for supporting, facilitating, preparing, and developing the policies, standards, and guidelines relating to information technology and on-going operations of the Arkansas Enterprise Architecture program. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency policy.
The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in information technology, business administration, or a related field; plus three years of experience in systems analysis, telecommunications, information technology, information security, or a related field. Additional requirements determined by the agency for recruiting purposes require review and approval by the Office of Personnel Management. OTHER JOB RELATED EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE MAY BE SUBSTITUTED FOR ALL OR PART OF THESE BASIC REQUIREMENTS, EXCEPT FOR CERTIFICATION OR LICENSURE REQUIREMENTS, UPON APPROVAL OF THE QUALIFICATIONS REVIEW COMMITTEE.
Develops and publishes policies, standards, and guidelines relating to information technology. Evaluates, designs, implements, and maintains databases, writes code, verifies data, and constructs complex reports. Provides technical assistance in software applications and problem solving to agency personnel. Tests technologies for compliance with accessibility laws and standards for internal and external entities. Produces reports, graphic art, visual materials, and other electronic and paper documents for presentations, websites, and publications for agency outreach. Assists in the development of the Arkansas Enterprise Architecture policies, standards, and guidelines. Provides and maintains ongoing design of websites to ensure consistency in style, tone, and quality of the organization's site. Performs research and data analysis and utilizes reporting tools for project design. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of principles and processes for of customer service. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Professional Suite automation and interoperability. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to read and understand information and ideas presented in writing. Ability to develop, design, edit, and maintain websites. Ability to prepare and deliver public presentations related to information technology. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Working knowledge of Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, and SQL. Ability to analyze computer system problems or errors and devise corrective measures. Ability to configure, install, and update hardware and software to fit user needs. Possess a basic knowledge of various Windows Server operating systems. Ability to document troubleshooting and solutions to related work. Knowledge of back-up and recovery software, as well as cyber intrusion prevention methods.
MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS: Two years supervisory experience. Ability to lift 50lbs.
