What you'll do...

This is an exciting opportunity to work with a rapidly growing, world class cybersecurity team. We prefer relocation to Bentonville, but will consider fully remote options for the right candidate. This role leads and grows a team of experienced responders, enhances processes and playbooks, and removes obstacles to contain, eradicate, and recover from threats to world’s largest company. You will have exposure to wide range of technologies and the opportunity to work with a top-notch team providing experience that is often impossible to gain elsewhere. In fact, we are so committed to information security we even host our very own information security conference every year with hundreds of attendees! Successful leaders in Walmart’s information security program lead with courage, remain calm and make good decisions under pressure, and have a burning desire to help protect the company. We are looking for a passionate, experienced incident response leader with a solutions-oriented mindset to help us drive security incidents to resolution. The right candidate will astutely assess and mature our threat detection and response capabilities. You must be willing to build, lead, and empower great teams.


  • Lead incident response globally for Fortune 1
  • Assess and mature our cyber hunt program
  • Mentor and lead a world class incident response team
  • Evaluate and continuously refine the incident response strategy
  • Communicate effectively with executives, legal, and privacy regarding incidents


  • 8+ years of cybersecurity experience
  • Deep knowledge of current TTPs (tactics, techniques, and procedures) for prominent threat actors
  • Strong desire to work on a team in a collaborative environment to achieve common goals
  • Ability to correlate events from multiple sources to create a timeline analysis across an incident
  • Experience working incidents and determining root cause for complex incident response scenarios and making recommendations for improving security posture
  • You’re comfortable describing incident preparedness, conducting workshops, table top exercises and crafting breach scenarios
  • You are able to communicate the results of an investigation verbally and in writing to stakeholders and advise them on next actions
  • You are passionate about cybersecurity
