Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As part of the Digital Transformation Services team, you will partner with senior leaders to create transformation strategies for the People and Associate Relations domains, build roadmaps of necessary technical & business process interventions, and oversee the design & delivery of advanced technology solutions (including data science, machine learning, and intelligent automation) into productive use.  This is a unique opportunity to positively impact the daily work of thousands of associates, generate hundreds of millions of dollars in value to Walmart, and be on the front line in leading the digital transformation of the world’s largest retailer.  The ideal candidate is able to operate with startup hustle while thinking with enterprise scale, and will need to wear a variety of hats depending on the day (or time of day).

You’ll sweep us off our feet if…

  • You have led teams through the process of developing a vision, strategy, and roadmap for digital enablement
  • You have first-hand experience in applying Design Thinking to generate ideas and bring them to life
  • You have managed a portfolio of digital / software products and/or transformational programs within the enterprise environment
  • You have experience / business knowledge in the People and Associate Relations domains
  • You have applied advanced technologies and capabilities such as Data Science, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Natural Language Processing, Conversational AI, Robotic Process Automation, etc. to solve real business problems
  • You can partner with brilliant (PhD level) data scientists and engineers to translate business needs into tangible technical products
  • You are able to drive technical solutions into productive use by applying effective change management techniques – including future state process design, communications, training, etc.

You’ll make an impact by…

  • Building collaborative relationships with key partners by helping to envision new business models, driving priorities aligned to business goals, communicating and prioritizing product roadmaps, and gaining buy-in from executive leadership
  • Putting the associate at the center of all product design efforts
  • Taking a systems / process view to identify and address inefficiencies in business operations
  • Bringing passion to conceptualize, plan, build, and deliver technology-driven tech products
  • Ensuring that products land into productive use and that associated business benefits are fully realized

Qualifications…

  • Bachelor's degree required / MBA a huge plus!
  • 8+ years in product management and application of emerging technologies
  • Formal training / certification in product / portfolio / program / project management
  • Formal training / certification / experience in Design Thinking is a plus
  • Formal training / certification in process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Theory of Constraints, etc.) is a plus
  • Sound business judgment including the ability to think strategically, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Communications, or related field and 6 years’ experience in
product management or related field OR 8 years’ experience in product management or related field.
2 years' experience building and leading high performing teams.
4 years' experience leading cross-functional teams.
