Position Summary...

What you'll do...

Do you have experience with virtual desktop and application environments?  The advanced systems engineer role is an engineering implementation and support role that will be responsible for ensuring our customers receive the best possible VDI user experience.  This role will partner closely with the Walmart customer call centers and be responsible for establishing and maintaining relationships with multiple support teams. 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if:

  • You’re passionate about customer service
  • You have extensive experience supporting and implementing VDI products, mainly VMware Horizon
  • You have experience managing PCI compliant infrastructure platforms
  • You have experience with Agile scrum processes
  • You have high standards in regards to execution
  • You’re stimulated by challenges and are ready to engage at Fortune 1 scale

You’ll make an impact by:

  • Leveraging tools & channels – Partner with vendors and internal team members to optimize usage of environments, existing technologies and available training.
  • Building strategic relationships: Maximize relationships with new and existing support teams along with customers, ensuring the best possible user experience and establishing a relationship built on trust and transparency.
  • Operating with excellence – Set an example in managing to KPIs, delivering engineering excellence, presenting at all levels, and developing yourself and others.

About the Digital Workspace Services Team:

The DWS team is an internationally distributed team with over 160k managed devices.  The team is involved in many innovate projects including the new ways of working which requires the development of new technologies to support an evolving workforce.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field and 3 years experience in information technology or related field within the last 7 years OR 5 years experience in information technology or related field within the last 7 years.
