Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Technical Controls Assessment Consultant (TCA)Team identifies and implements comprehensive, risk-informed security controls to deliver secure technology to our customers.

As a Senior Risk Expert, Cybersecurity- Information Security Consultant, you will be aligned to our Supply Chain and Data organizations. As Walmart evolves our technology offerings, you will get to review, design, and support our tech initiatives for everything in the supply chain sector- from new distribution center designs to new business models. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include reviewing architectures for major initiatives like new acquisitions, strategic projects, or entirely new business lines. This senior-level role will be early in the planning and require relationship management and building with the business to ensure our customers’ needs are met securely and the fast pace of our supply chain and ever-growing data business. 

You Will Make an Impact By:

  • Reviewing and assessing the security of designs while considering Walmart’s security standards aligned to industry standards such as ISO 27002 and NIST 800-53
  • Recommending updates to architectures to creatively solve problems securely while minimizing risk to Walmart and our customers
  • Evaluating when exceptions would be applicable; following our risk management process to ensure these exceptions are monitored and documented effectively.
  • Completing solution security plans for solutions with a primary focus on Supply Chain and Data Organizations (but may extend to other platform areas based on need)

You'll Sweep Us Off Our Feet If You Have:

  • Architecture or design experience, including deployment of enterprise scaled systems
  • CISSP or other security certifications
  • Experience implementing or understanding privacy regulations in the context of security controls.
  • Experience in threat modeling, secure software design, or vulnerability management
  • Prior experience in acquisition integration, commercial sales, and/or managed security program models.

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or risk related field and 7 years' experience in information technology or risk related field within the last 11 years OR 9 years' experience in information technology or risk related field within the last 11 years.
