You’ll make an impact by…

Delivering technical innovations to the Developer Platform.  The Developer Platform  is defined both in terms of how well the engineers’ needs are addressed  and amplify the ability of Walmart developers to execute their daily tasks by using key technical resources/assets such as tools, libraries, IDEs, build and test tools, tech stacks, APIs, documentation, sample code, tutorials and training, open source tooling, and processes and equally how effective they are in delivering the solutions for (a) design excellence (b) faster builds and integration (c) robust testing (d) rapid packaging and deployment.

You will help drive the platform by connecting the experiences across different core platform primitives to make it cohesive for internal developersso that Walmart associates can help hundreds of millions of customers to save money and live better. 

You will help with building a state of the art platform which comprises of CI/CD Tools, Quality and Compliance test frameworks, resiliency/quality gates, integration/performance test models, accelerators and bootstrap frameworks. and is focused on ensuring the right experience for the developers by providing the right set of platform tools, frameworks, and best practices.

What you’ll do…

  • Lead an engineering team responsible for development and support of our CI/CD platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and vision for the Developer Productivity Platform
  • Collaborate effectively with the product team members in delivering key product features as well as ensure the systems you are responsible for are reliable to meet the demands of the platform
  • Be comfortable working in a true “Product” team environment focusing on development and providing support coverage 
  • Strong fundamentals of agile methodologies and program practices in product development lifecycle
  • Work with stakeholders to define the future roadmap of the product, adopt latest technology innovation wherever necessary 
  • Build, own, and mentor a team of high-performing engineers and provide thought leadership across the to bring best efficiencies and quality. 
  • Define and drive technology standard and best practices across Developer Productivity areas 
  • Work on highly complex issues with broad technical or strategic implications for the organization. 
  • Be self-driven, self-motivated, comfortable with aggressive deadlines

What you’ll bring…

  • Experienced technology leader with a minimum of 10 years of software development experience including 5+ years of Design and implementation of DevOps and CI/CD domain (Build tools, writing plugins for build tools, CI/CD frameworks, CI/CD metrics )
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps Platform tooling
  • Experience in application/platform instrumentation, telemetry, measurement, log data processing, and monitoring 
  • Have an unbeaten track record of leading architecture work for large-scale projects that represent broad strategic initiatives 
  • Strong at identifying problems, solving complex problems with simple solutions.
  • Demonstrated proficiency and experience in one or more of the following areas: application architecture, solutions architecture, software systems architecture, and data architecture.
  • Strong on driving for results and self-motivated, strong learning mindset, with a good understanding of related advanced/new technology. 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline required.
  • Fast learner on both technical side and business side – focused on successful outcomes
  • Strong developer centric mind-set

Minimum Qualifications...

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science and 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related field OR 6 years’ experience in software
engineering or related field.
1 year’s supervisory experience.
