Job Description

The (non-remote) Junior SQL Developer role is to ensure that all SQL based database systems are functioning efficiently and effectively for proper support of the business requirements. Arkansas Center for Data Sciences (ACDS) is helping Bumper to Bumper Replacement Auto-Parts hire a Junior Data Developer in Little Rock

Bumper to Bumper has Arkansas roots dating back to 1903. Today they have over 200 locations, across 12 states with 1200 employees. This makes for a massive inventory database which needs to be maintained, updated and migrated during acquisitions. Responsibilities:

  • Assists SQL Developers in implementing and continuously improving processes for data conversation from one system another 
    designing data modeling/analysis services used to mine enterprise systems and applications for knowledge and information that enhance business processes.
  • Assisting in building, deploying, and maintaining data support tools, metadata inventories, and definitions for database file/table creation.
  • Help monitor ETL and data conversion processes to ensure they run appropriately every day and may include other duties as defined by their manager.
  • Use a variety of development languages and environments to perform
    their daily duties.

Desired Background & Qualifications 

  • Hands on experience with MS Access and Excel, strong knowledge and experience with SQL
  • Basic knowledge of ODBC, JCDB, JSON, XML, linked servers, and data replication 
  • Experience with Interbase, FireBird, and Unidata database is helpful.

Requirements:

  • Ability to work in the United States without a current or future need for sponsorship
  • Ability to work onsite at office (2003 E Roosevelt Rd, Little Rock, AR 72206)
