This position will be responsible for delivering financial analysis and insights, building and maintaining financial models, including budget modeling, M&A, and forecasting. Arkansas Center for Data Sciences (ACDS) is helping Rock Dental Brands hire a Financial Planning Analyst in Little Rock, AR. 

About the employer: 

Rock Dental Brands is an innovative, multi-disciplinary group of practices providing office support to over 80 dental and orthodontic practices. They specialize in Pediatric Dentistry, Orthodontics, General Dentistry, and Oral Surgery.

Responsibilities

  • Understand key levers and devise new ways to segment and analyze the business
  • Identify trends and outliers in financial data and translate them into actionable insights for business leaders
  • Build and maintain financial models; perform variance analysis between these models and actual results
  • Create simple and compelling visuals to demonstrate business performance for presentations to the Board of Directors
  • Develop financial projections for mergers and acquisitions of the company, coordinate with sales and integration teams
  • Participate in strategic initiatives to facilitate forecasting business impact and analyze results of pilot implementations

What's a successful candidate look like? 

  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel required
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and the relationships between them
  • Solid communication skills and ability to present data to leadership
  • Experience with business intelligence (BI) and BI visualizations tools a positive
  • Knowledge of relational databases
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years experience financial modeling and/or accounting
