Position Summary...

What you'll do...

As a member of the Walmart Enterprise Directory Services Team, you will provide Active Directory Infrastructure support for all of Walmart. A successful candidate must be able to communicate and collaborate with any team within Walmart, provide forward thinking ideas for improvement, and help drive efforts to completion.

Specifically, you will be:

  • This position will not be managing User, Groups, and Computer Objects
  • Consulting with other teams concerning Active Directory application integration and best practices
  • Provide operational support for a complex multi-company, multi-domain, multi-forest Active Directory environment including AD/SYSVOL Replication, Kerberos, LDAP, and other infrastructure AD functions
  • Design and implement solutions to help increase the security posture around Active Directory
  • Ensure solution security aligns with industry standards such as NIST, PCI DSS, and DISA STIG, as well as Walmart corporate policy
  • Assist with defining roadmaps for the future
  • Maintain Domain Controllers throughout the Enterprise
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring systems for Active Directory, AD LDS, and ancillary supporting technologies
  • Address alerts and implement corrective actions.  Support problem resolution…plan, organize and execute system benchmarks for threshold and functionality, and root cause analysis
  • Review ongoing and proposed projects to identify opportunities for reuse and process improvement
  • Participate with the team on-call rotation

Additional Preferred Qualifications included:

  • 10+ years of experience with large enterprise-scale Microsoft Active Directory Deployments
  • 10+ years of Windows Server background
  • Experience with Windows OS support and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Active Directory Sites and Services
  • Experience with Active Directory Topology and Replication
  • Experience with Group Policy Objects
  • Experience with Active Directory Access Control and Delegations
  • Experience with Active Directory Troubleshooting
  • Experience in automation and scripting (PowerShell, VBScript, Batch Files, etc.)
  • Experience with large, enterprise-scale solutions
  • Experience in creating technical documentation
  • Experience with hardware troubleshooting
  • Familiar with PKI concepts
  • Familiar with Networking concepts
  • Familiar with SSO / Federation concepts
