WHO - Data Acquisitions Specialist

WHERE - Fayetteville, AR

WHAT - The candidate should be result driven, ambitious, organized, and articulate.  You will be responsible for coordinating the receipt of data as it comes into DataScout.

Responsibilities

  • Primary – Acquire updated data files on a regular schedule
  • Primary – Conduct regular audits of data acquisition progress and apply basic strategies to ensure data integrity
  • Primary – Investigate and resolve issues when data is out-of-compliance
  • Primary – Professionally answer phone calls and emails from outside agencies
  • Primary – Assist users to upload appropriate files to the server via ftp
  • Primary – Address data related queries from staff and customers
  • Primary – Data entry to maintain the integrity of information in the Data Acquisitions Management System
  • Develop a full understanding and comprehension of the relevance of acquired data to the various DataScout product lines
  • Define and document data acquisition procedures
  • Communicate effectively with Data team and Customer Relations Team, and provide backup as needed
  • Keep current on new technology and assist to develop solutions for problems related to the data acquisitions management system
  • Promote the image of our company as a leader in public data in Arkansas and other market areas as we continue to grow

 

Qualifications

  • Detail oriented with exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organization skills and project tracking abilities
  • Superior Data Entry skills with a thorough command of Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to handle difficult situations with customers and agencies
  • The flexibility to adapt as projects evolve
  • Must be self-motivated and a team player
  • A classic, strong work ethic and personal drive to meet and exceed goals
  • Barrier breaking attitude – someone who does what it takes to make things happen even when there is resistance
  • Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server is a plus, but not required
  • Working knowledge of Structured Query Language is a plus, but not required
