The Sam's Product team is led by a leader with 20+ years of ecomm. and supply chain experience across major retailers and logistics providers. The product team consists of associates with operations, consulting, business, product, and technical backgrounds; all driven by the same product mindset. Together, we innovate and drive the future of retail by anticipating the needs of our customers — often even before they know what they want themselves. 

We move products to 50 million customers through more than 600 stores. And, as our customers move to digital, we’re moving with them. So, we’re looking for supply chain professionals with a passion for technology and data driven decision making.

  • As a senior product manager of omni-channel supply chain team, you will be responsible for setting the product strategy to intelligently serve the relevant fulfilment options to millions of Sam’s customers. In this role you will optimize supply chain execution by determining a fulfillment flow path channel to the customer that best fits speed, in-stock, capacity and profit metrics. In this role you are expected to work cross functionally across business stakeholders, engineering, analytics and other teams. You will help solve some of the current supply chain challenges such as efficiently sourcing the right node to fulfill demand, tracking the movement and arrival of goods across the supply chain; developing and presenting recommendations to address conflicting goals; identifying order exceptions, disruptions, and supply chain constraints that will impact supply chain execution.
  • You’re a quick thinker that anticipates consumer needs and offers cost-effective data driven solutions.

You’ll make an impact by: 

  • Developing and enhancing products – you will manage product roadmaps, align business and technical needs, analyze customer and product data, turn customer insights into actionable initiatives, determine rollout strategy, and manage risks 
  • Defining vision and strategies for your product family, using domain expertise, internal and external best practices, identifying market opportunities, building business cases, and approving objectives 
  • Crafting and developing solutions to large business challenges – communicate business and customer needs to key partners to implement products and timelines 
  • Driving business plans and projects by identifying the customer and operational needs of the product 
  • Building a team environment by selecting, training, and mentoring   
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of your products and initiatives to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness with participating stakeholders 

You’ll sweep us off our feet if… 

  • You have experience in and is passionate about retail supply chain, ecommerce, and analytics. 
  • Good understanding of supply chain planning and execution and/or ecommerce
  • You are a strategic thinker and able to synthesize data from multiple sources (including analytics, user research, operations research, and design) to identify key unmet needs and solutions that can address the needs. 
  • You are data-driven and analytical to draw insights from current product performance to deliver on key user metrics. 
  • You can work across teams to make the vision of the product successful. 
  • You are able to translate product strategy into detailed specifications, making functional and user interface design tradeoffs, managing product launches and owning the product successes post-launch.  
  • Comfortable in an ambiguous environment and strong bias for action
