The Sam’s Club Product Team is focused on creating the best omni-channel customer experience in the retail industry. You’ll make an impact by: 

  • Ensuring that the quality of our solutions meet the needs of the customer and the business, ensuring visibility into key metrics and continuous improvement in the overall operational maturity of our product management function.

  • Successfully deploying the CPO’s product strategy, planning, and review cadences, ensuring that each function is well-aligned to these practices and are receiving the appropriate outputs.

  • Owning the product roadmap's development, maintenance, and communication framework. Coaching Product Managers in defining their value chain’s vision and communicating it internally.

  • Establishing, in partnership with Product Leadership, key performance metrics for the product organization. Identifying opportunities to standardize or better surface data needed to produce key metrics. Empowering your team to find the “so what” in the data to enable PMs to deliver stronger customer and business outcomes.

  • Staying abreast of best product practices and cascading to teams as needed.

  • Developing a community of practice, establish training and coaching methods as needed.

  • Identifying and enabling just the right level of processes to supercharge the product team.

  • Running a successful Delivery team comprised of talented Technology Project Managers and ensuring the timely deployment of high-quality products and product enhancements.

  • You’re adept at managing incoming data inputs and all stages of data collecting and analysis. Collecting, organizing, and analyzing product data to generate analytics and insights that will help the product team make informed decisions.

  • Your leadership style facilitates inter-departmental collaboration and exchange of resources and data. Creating robust feedback loops with stakeholders and customers to ensure that product and other partner teams are receiving high-quality information.

  • You have a successful track record of managing collaborative interactions among all product life cycle teams (e.g., product managers, project managers, functional leaders, R&D, and engineering) as key partner to cross-functional stakeholders in go-to-market motions.

  • You're skilled at ensuring incoming data inputs and all stages of data collecting and analysis to better support product managers. Collecting, organizing, and analyzing product data to generate analytics and insights that will help the product team make informed decisions.

  • You’re able to successfully scale product knowledge across the organization, acting as an evangelist for product organization, product process, and product strategy/roadmap. Providing direct support throughout the implementation and tracking stages. Providing value to end-consumers by ensuring that the product functions correctly after launch and by working with Product managers to plan out product lifecycle post-launch. Recognizing potential roadblocks in the scaling and communication processes and developing engagement tactics to help consumers understand fundamental features and new releases.

  • You’re skilled at optimizing the product process ensuring that Product Management best practices and business processes are consistent and well-aligned across the organization, and that intended outcomes are achieved to support goals. Standardizing company processes such as planning, budgeting, and reporting to assist in the development of innovative products. Developing consistent tools and templates for the product org: including roadmaps, product reviews, executive reviews, and measurement and KPI dashboards. Overseeing product quality assurance and identifying opportunities for product improvement, enabling consistent professional development frameworks for the product team.

Minimum Qualifications...

Outlined below are the required minimum qualifications for this position. If none are listed, there are no minimum qualifications.

• Option 1: Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, Business Administration, or related field and 5 years' experience in Product Operations, Business Operations, Product Management, or related field.
• Option 2: 8 years' experience in Product Operations, Business Operations, Product Management, or related field.
• 5 years' experience in People Management
• As permitted by applicable law, provide evidence of full vaccination as defined by CDC guidelines OR secure approval of medical or religious accommodation for the vaccination mandate.
