Job Description

The maintenance agent, in association with the leader, ensures preventive and corrective maintenance in an independent and safe way on all electrical and electromechanical installations of the site. He participates in the progress of the facilities.

DUTIES:

  • Carry out preventive maintenance:-Analyzing and effecting improvements on facilities as a result of observations made during the course of preventive maintenance Carry out corrective maintenance:
  • For this, he should analyze the malfunction and propose, then put into effect, the best solution. When a repair is done, he/she should inform his supervisor and/or production about availability of the equipment and immediately give the repair done. He/she records immediately the incident encountered (log book and GMAO [Computerized Maintenance Management System])
  •  
  • -Participating in regularly scheduled maintenance stops.
  • Help maintenance agents and exterior companies as necessary, carrying out an intervention on-site, in agreement with supervisor.
  • Be able to find technical information. The maintenance technician can also be required to contact external suppliers directly. .
  • Participate in smooth functioning of the spare parts storeroom (exit storeroom)
  • Fill out time sheets daily and turn them in to supervisor.

Keeps informed about the requirements linked to the job as it refers to quality, safety and the environment (QSE). Respects the QSE rules which are available in the form of instruction sheets. Brings up related information to his/her supervisor in the case of dysfunction or deviance. Maintains in a state of conformity and cleanliness the material put at his/her disposal. Manages the documents relating to quality for the department. Alerts any person within his/her jurisdiction who does not respect the QSE regulations. Actively participates in the continual improvement efforts relating to QSE.

 

Ensures clear and precise communication of all customer requirements inside the company. Is involved in all studies and efforts to attein the « TOTAL QUALITY » objective.

SKILLS:

Level of studies required (diplomas…): Industrial Maintenance [certificate of technical education] or equivalent experience

 

Technical know-how: Knowledge of automation, variable speed drives, governing, pyrometry

Knowledge of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics and gas

Computers: Word/ Excel +GMAO [Computerized Maintenance Management System] (+system of a computer)

Forklift permit + Cradle authorization, overhead crane operator
