Do you have experience provisioning, configuring, and managing the latest Windows operating system on both physical and virtual endpoints? The Windows Systems Engineer role is responsible for providing engineering services related to endpoint provisioning, configuration, management, level 3 support, PC hardware evaluations, and enterprise browser administration for over 290,000 endpoints. This role partners closely with our associates and global tech teams to ensure stability, security, performance, and productivity for the Windows endpoint.

About us:

The WinEng team is a highly collaborative team operating within the top 25% of its peer group managing the operating system on over 290k physical and virtual endpoints. The team is involved in many innovate projects including our modern endpoint management transformation. A Modern Endpoint is managed via the cloud, is provisioned out of the box, has the latest OS and browser, is running on preferred hardware, and leverages analytics to ensure the optimum performance and end user experience. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced Knowledge of Windows 10/11 operating system
  • System Provisioning - SCCM Task Sequence, Windows AutoPilot, and Workspace One
  • System Configuration and Management - SCCM, MS Modern Endpoint Manager (Intune), Workspace One, Certificate Management, Group Policy Orchestrator or MEM Configurations, and Active Directory
  • System Support and Patching - OS patching and vulnerability remediation, Windows Registry and PowerShell scripting. Ability to partner with L1, L2, and Officer Support teams to enhance knowledge transfer and associate/officer experience
  • Hardware and Lifecycle Management - Vendor management, hardware testing and global lifecycle and asset management
  • Reporting and Analytics - Excel and MS Power BI
  • Execution - Solid understanding of Agile mythologies and basic understanding of Project Management framework
  • Customer Service - Ability to engage at all levels within the business to ensure success and solution adoption


Minimum Qualifications...
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field
  • 1 and 1/2 years' experience in information technology or related field within the last 5 years OR 3 years' experience in information technology or related field within the last 5 years OR
  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or related field.


Preferred Qualifications...
  • Designing, leading, and implementing small- to medium-scale technology projects,
  • Designing technical solutions in response to customer requests or changes in retail business,
  • Production support, including problem identification, ticket documentation, and customer and vendor relations,
  • Troubleshooting and recommending technical solutions
