Sustainability Management: Analyzes energy trends, findings, and potential impacts on organizational practices. Evaluates Walmart's energy utilization against broader supply availability, stability, and external trends and standards. Identifies significant impacts of energy or resource-utilization patterns in the organization. Defines action plans to address sustainability gaps and details solutions to improve energy and resource efficiency in alignment with Walmart's broader sustainability strategy. Assesses levels of compliance with sustainability practices and standards in the organization. Defines follow-up actions or modifications to sustainability practices as appropriate.
Strategy Development: Designs a peripheral vision around sustainability business strategies. Thinks critically and systematically about complex, sustainability-related business problems and opportunities. Applies the underlying theories behind macroeconomic behaviors to all levels of the organization. Evaluates and interprets the influence of Walmart's wider environment (for example, financial, industry, scientific, political trends) and offers insights related to macroeconomic analysis. Develops a prioritized business and finance plan that both delivers on sustainability business strategies and aligns with the overall strategy and business plan. Uses strategic frameworks, advanced models, and business and competitor knowledge to design sustainability business strategies, understand trade-offs, and make informed business decisions. Forecasts future states of the economy, as well as business, customer, and competitor behaviors. Anticipates economic conditions and provide strategic insight on how to mitigate impact on the organization as a whole. Consults with others to seek out strategic alternatives. Weighs options based on impacts on key business imperatives . Tailors sustainability-related offerings and solutions to current and future needs.
Change Management: Develops sustainability-related processes in order to implement change. Reviews on-going change progress to ensure alignment with strategic direction of business. Identifies and implements suitable sustainability models best aligned to meeting organizational needs. Holds and leverages gains from business changes. Establishes key performance indicators, benchmarking metrics, and audit requirements to improve capabilities on a continual basis. Leads the development of communication and training plans to drive team member alignment with business strategies and desired outcomes.
SCM Acumen: Assists in planning and managing processes related to multiple areas within Warehousing or Transportation functions for a region or entire market (for example, One Best Way, WPS). Uses supply chain software system (for example, OMS, WMS, TMS). or any integrated system for managing an assigned area of work. Plans and manages the capacity for flow of goods and resolves capacity issues at various points in the supply chain.
Program Management: Plans, estimates, staffs, organizes, and monitors a set of projects within a business area-wide program . Manages large project sets involving multiple stakeholders within a specific business area. Coaches team members in maintaining open communication among project managers and interested parties. Conducts regular and ad-hoc program reviews with project managers, team members, and clients. Evaluates risks and vulnerabilities and creates contingency plans. Oversees reporting requirements and creates monitoring and control mechanisms. Advises others on preferred tools, techniques, and methods for estimating program costs and timelines.
Influential Communication: Presents to and influences team members, customers, and clients, conveying complex information clearly and accurately and addressing ambiguity in a constructive manner. Independently assembles and prepares reports/materials/storylines that have a structure and logical flow and are based on relevant, fact-based information. Influences team members and leaders to take meaningful action based on sound recommendations. Seeks and provides constructive feedback, anticipates needs/questions, and responds appropriately.
Business Partnering: Develop and maintain stakeholder's map/segmentation, define interactions and linkages across the value chain, and play a key role in using stakeholder engagement (including collaborative working) to deliver strategic benefits. Review communication plans to ensure relevant information sharing. Recognize and translate complex data into challenging insight to support stakeholders and explain complex data in an easy-to-understand way. Support and influence evidence-based decision making by objectively establishing requirements, identifying options, selecting and recommending solutions to deliver services that provide value to business. Partner with business to create solutions which incorporate multi stakeholder perspective on the issue at hand. Support team in effective stakeholder management by assessing their effectiveness and imparting trainings where necessary.
Drives the execution of multiple business plans and projects by identifying customer and operational needs; developing and communicating business plans and priorities; removing barriers and obstacles that impact performance; providing resources; identifying performance standards; measuring progress and adjusting performance accordingly; developing contingency plans; and demonstrating adaptability and supporting continuous learning.

Option 1: Bachelor's degree in environmental studies, statistics, engineering, business, technology, computer science, or related area and 3 years' experience in data analytics, project management, corporate sustainability, supply chain, or related area. Option 2: 5 years' experience in data analytics, project management, corporate sustainability, supply chain, or related area.
Prior work experience in environmental, social, and governance.
Prior work experience in reverse logistics, circularity, or emissions reduction.
