What you'll do...

As a part of US Omni Tech, you will build & implement industry defining decision making products to drive differentiated experiences for the associates working in Merchandising. What you'll be doing.........
  • Build encapsulated software components and fuse together various software components software features using React and Redux.
  • Build fault-tolerant, high-performance front architecture software solutions for medium to large software applications using solutions such as Web Pack and Babel.
  • Integrate REST based APIs developed in Java and Node using an Ajax framework for client-side rendering and web browser and request libraries for server-side rendering.
  • Work with other front-end software developers on the team to ensure that the Wal-Mart web software application is highly optimized and performant by building unit and functional software application tests and implementing software code supporting ADA standards.
  • Review software application code changes made by other team members, suggest appropriate changes if necessary, and participate in software code development discussions.
  • Automate production software deployments in Cloud technologies, including monitoring and alerting.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers on the team
  • Provide technical leadership and use engineering best practices to initiate, plan, and execute large-scale, cross functional, and company-wide projects.
  • Demonstrate craftsmanship and produce high quality software that is unit tested, code reviewed, and checked in regularly for continuous integration.
  • Significant industry experience designing web applications with a focus on operational excellence.
  • Work with other front-end software developers on the team to ensure that the Wal-Mart web software application is highly optimized and performant by building unit and functional software application tests and implementing software code supporting ADA standards.
  • Investigate, build proof of concepts and drive their adoption within the Walmart and external community.
  • Identify, leverage, and successfully evangelize opportunities to improve engineering productivity, product quality and efficiency.
  • Generate technical documentation and presentations to communicate architectural and design options, and educate development, product, and business teams.
  • Manage and maintain multiple production and non-production environments, ensuring that these environments are setup with the standard automated build and releases processes & deliver with quality, reliability.
  • Build, leverage and analyze tools, application logs, and analytics data to determine improvements to the product and engineering services
  • Experience evangelizing technical standards across large orgs to drive concrete outcomes.
  • Eye for spotting the right tradeoffs when it comes to fine-tuning systems for speed, robustness, and cost efficiency.
  • Participate in setting the technical vision and objectives for multiple teams in alignment with business and market needs.
  • Ability to coach, challenge, and guide engineers on the issue troubleshooting front via a root cause analysis process.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills

You'll sweep us off our feet if........
  • You have a BS/MS in Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • 7+ years of experience writing client side HTML, JavaScript, CSS
  • 5+ years of experience with React/Angular, Redux/NgRx/NgXS, Typescript
  • Expertise in building complex responsive layouts using technologies like Flexbox, Bootstrap, Material UI etc
  • Expertise in bootstrapping new applications from ground up, setting up codebases and build pipelines
  • Expertise in integrating with IAM/SSO solutions for AuthZ, along with deep understanding of the underlying protocols
  • Expertise in building optimal data rich interfaces involving data grids and charts
  • Experience in creating POCs, and quickly transforming ideas into demonstrable prototypes
  • Experience using modern technologies like Web sockets, Webpack federation etc
  • 3+ years of experience leading technical teams and mentoring junior developers
  • 3+ years of experience designing and architecting highly scalable systems
  • 5+ years of software development experience on large-scale highly scalable systems, involving multiple teams.
  • Experience in building fault-tolerant, high performance FE architecture.
  • Experience in continuous integration and delivery.
  • Experience with unit testing and automation frameworks.
  • Experience in interfacing with cloud infrastructure to deploy, scale and monitor applications
  • Experience with engineering best practices, including use of design patterns, and code reviews.
  • Ability to create prototype from ideas and mockups from wire frames.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. You can communicate effectively in both independent and team environments.
  • Good understanding of version Control systems, preferably GIT.

  • Providing overall direction for the product and manage the TCO end-to-end.
  • Be hands-on in analyzing technical and business problems and recommending solutions to stakeholders on how best to leverage the technology

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and 5 years experience in software engineering or related field OR 7 years experience in software engineering or related field
  • Sound business judgment as well as ability to think clearly, analyze quantitatively, problem-solve, scope technical requirements, and prioritize.
  • Must be able and willing to think and act strategically and tactically.
