The Walmart Corporate Technology Internship is a highly visible 10-week program designed to provide experiential learning and development opportunities for undergraduates. All internships are located at the Walmart Corporate office in Bentonville, Arkansas.
The 2018 Retail Technology summer internship program is designed to prepare you for a full-time role within Walmart Retail Technology (RT). Walmart Technology operates one of the largest retail technology systems in the world. As a technology powered retailer, we are driving the future of retail – a future that goes far beyond the walls of our more than 11,000 U.S. stores. We are creating efficiencies that help people save money so they can live better. At our Development Center we are working with Walmart and Sam’s Club locations around the globe to drive end user solutions to support our online and mobile platforms to create a frictionless shopping experience.
Walmart’s project-based internships allow you to take classroom learning and apply it in a high impact manner and work on some of the most challenging and innovative projects. This program and project will expose you to the broad scope of the Walmart Enterprise and you will complete at least one impactful project in the Retail Technology Division.
There will also be many events for all interns company-wide, which are sponsored by the Corporate Intern Program, i.e. Executive Speaker Series, Community Volunteering, Intern/Executive Softball Game, Distribution Center tour, and local NWA events. These events allow you to learn more about Walmart and develop relationships with interns from across the company.
Walmart is always striving to be better and do better. As an intern you become part of this initiative. You will directly and indirectly support Walmart’s sustainability goals, the commitment to bring low prices to our customers on a daily basis, and the community betterment projects in which Walmart is engaged. You arrive thinking you will work for a company and you leave knowing you worked for a cause.
Upon completion of the internship, the intern will be considered for a full-time position in Technology based on performance.
