 What you will be doing:

  • Designing, coding, and testing of enterprise application solutions utilizing RPG, RPG IV, RPG Free.
  • Modifying existing programs to resolve problems, add functionality or support client-specific environments.
  • Second line support of production and implementation teams.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 What you will need for this position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in software development and design. 
  • Proficiency in Computer Science fundamentals – algorithms, design, problem solving, debugging, and complexity analysis.
  • Experience working with relational databases.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Communication skills.
  • Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks.
  • Willingness to learn RPG, RPG IV, RPG Free programming language.

 Additional skills we value:

  • Banking or Payments industry knowledge
  • Knowledge of IBM iSeries
  • Rational Software experience
  • Experience with SQL
