We are searching for an experienced Process Engineer to join our Business Process Engineering Team. As a Business Process Engineer, you will work collaboratively to solve complex problems that directly affect the lives of employees & customers. The Business Process Engineer will have the opportunity to utilize their experience and skills while identifying possible opportunities for efficiency, cost savings/ profit gain, consolidation and/or modernization. The individual in this position will work with all areas and levels of the company to provide information, analysis, and recommendations on issues related to Dillard’s.


  • Collaborate and work closely with internal business partners to identify gaps and challenges
  • Elicit requirements using interviews, data analysis, site visits, use cases and workflow analysis
  • Perform process simulations and developing process flow diagrams to communicate the nature of the business process
  • Research market and industry trends to help formulate recommendations for improvement
  • Participate in a test and learn approach to validate recommendations
  • Create meaningful presentations and analyses that tells a “story” focused on insights and not just data
  • Synthesize data into actionable business strategy and communicate findings to various levels of management teams


  • Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • Bachelor's or Master's Engineering Degree with 3+ years of experience in process development and continuous improvement
  • Solid understanding of statistical methods and process control
  • Skilled in the application of metrics to drive decisions/actions
  • Comfort with ambiguity
  • Self-starter with excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to work as a team member and individually
  • Ability to travel occasionally


  • 3 Years


  • Six Sigma, PMI or related certification a plus
  • Fluent in SQL and good knowledge of relational databases
  • Experience in at least one open-source scientific or statistical programming language such as R or Python
  • Experience with at least one general purpose, high level programming language such as C/C++, Java or PHP
